Blue Sky Youth Network Macedonia is starting with new project – “Youth Meeting Point” that is supported by United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC). The project will be implemented in period from February to July in eight cities in Macedonia: Skopje, Tetovo, Gostivar, Kicevo, Kumanovo, Struga, Strumica and Kocani. The project theme is intercultural learning and inter- religious dialog. Target group are young people between 17 and 24 years. The project is planned to be realized in two phases:

First phase will include activities such as lectures and workshops on the follow topics:

  • Cultures and religions.

  • Cultural diversity and multiculturalism.

  • Similarities in cultures.

  • Tolerance, communication and intercultural learning.

  • Project writing, team work and cooperation.

  • Project management and youth led initiatives.

In the second phase all eight participating cities will work on identifying a problem in their local environments caused by the negative stereotypes. In each city the participants will implement a project on local level that will promote mutual cooperation and understanding. After the local project each team will work on preparing a so called “Manual for positive stereotypes”.
